This policy describes what is and is not allowed when using the Standard Compute service. It applies to all users and all plans. Violations may result in enforcement action up to and including account termination.
You may not use Standard Compute to generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law, including but not limited to: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that facilitates human trafficking.
You may not use the service to generate malware, phishing pages, exploit code, or any other material designed to compromise the security of computer systems or networks.
Content that constitutes harassment, credible threats of violence, or targeted hate speech directed at individuals or protected groups is strictly prohibited.
You may not abuse the service infrastructure. This includes deliberately sending malformed requests to degrade performance, attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in our API or dashboard, or conducting denial-of-service attacks against our systems or any third party through our service.
You may not attempt to circumvent plan limits, fair-use policies, or rate controls through any technical means, including but not limited to rotating API keys, spoofing request headers, or distributing load across multiple accounts to avoid detection.
Reselling or redistributing access to the Standard Compute API is not permitted unless you are on an SMB or Enterprise plan that explicitly allows sub-accounts. Sharing a single API key across unrelated organizations or individuals violates this policy.
We employ automated systems to monitor usage patterns and detect potential policy violations. These systems analyze aggregate traffic metrics such as request volume, error rates, and payload characteristics. We do not read or store the content of your prompts or completions for monitoring purposes.
When automated monitoring flags unusual activity, a member of our team reviews the account before any enforcement action is taken. We do not suspend accounts based solely on automated signals.
We follow a graduated enforcement process wherever possible. For a first or minor violation, we will issue a written warning via email explaining the issue and the corrective action required.
If the violation continues or is repeated, we may temporarily throttle your API access to reduce the impact on other users while you address the issue.
For serious or persistent violations, we may suspend your account. During suspension, your API keys will stop functioning but your account data will be preserved. You will receive an email explaining the reason and duration of the suspension.
In cases involving illegal content, imminent harm, or repeated serious violations after prior warnings, we reserve the right to terminate your account permanently and delete associated data. Termination is a last resort and is always reviewed by a member of the team.
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing contact@standardcompute.com with the subject line "AUP Appeal" within 14 days of receiving the enforcement notice.
Include your account email, a description of the activity in question, and any context that you believe supports your case. We will review the appeal and respond within five business days.
During the appeal review, the original enforcement action remains in effect. If the appeal is successful, we will restore full access and notify you promptly.
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, upstream provider policies, or our own operational practices. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website at least 14 days before they take effect.
If you have questions about this policy or are unsure whether a specific use case is permitted, contact us at contact@standardcompute.com before proceeding. We are happy to clarify.
