What the trial is for
Start with one small request that lets you check the connection and response. The number of requests depends on their size and the models used. A longer coding-quality comparison may need a paid allowance.
Three steps to your first response
- Create your account. Open the dashboard and use Activate to request the trial. Complete the short activation step and wait for the eligibility result.
- Connect your tool. Copy your own API key from the dashboard and follow the setup for your client. Keep the key local.
- Send a small request. Check the actual response and your remaining dashboard allowance before starting a larger task.
Choose the setup you actually use
OpenCode
Select the native Standard Compute provider, paste your key, and choose its model.
Open the setup →Claude Code
Use the Anthropic-compatible Messages endpoint and your Standard Compute key.
Open the setup →Cline
Configure the OpenAI-compatible provider with the API base URL, key and model.
Open the setup →Your SDK or another agent
Choose the instructions for your client. Chat Completions and Messages use different settings.
Browse integrations →Know what you are testing
The service offers a configurable model pool through its API. Review current model selection in the dashboard before comparing results. A successful response confirms that the connection works; it does not establish that every coding task or every agent feature will behave identically to another provider.
For a longer evaluation, use the coding-quality test guide and keep unsuccessful attempts in your comparison.
Trial questions, answered
How much trial compute is included?
Eligible new accounts receive $0.25 of trial compute after activation. This is a finite platform compute allowance. It is not a recurring free tier, a fixed token count, or a value measured at another provider's prices.
Is a credit card required?
No card is required to request or use an eligible trial. A paid subscription requires a separate checkout; using the trial does not start a paid plan.
What happens when the trial runs out?
Requests stop when the trial allowance is used. Check the remaining allowance in your dashboard. You can choose a paid plan if the service fits your work; the trial does not replenish automatically.
Why is trial access not available on my account?
Trial access is subject to eligibility and availability. If your dashboard does not offer a trial, contact contact@standardcompute.com for help.
