Use Standard Compute with nanoMuse

An open-source personal agent in the style of Meta's Muse for your phone, computer and browser, from Zhejiang University, with a relay you can host yourself and any OpenAI-compatible model. Paste three settings into nanoMuse: the base URL, your Standard Compute API key and the model.

nanoMuse keeps four model rows (chat, operating the screen, pictures and clips), and a custom endpoint covers only the jobs you set; the screen row needs a model that sees images.

Eligible new accounts can try $0.25 of compute, with no card. See trial terms →

Your connection settings

Copy these values, then put them where nanoMuse expects them (steps below).

Model

Where to set them in nanoMuse

  1. In the web console open Connections → Chat model and, under Local or your own endpoint, click Add an endpoint. (Desktop: Settings → nanoMuse Cloud → Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint → Add an endpoint; phone: Settings → Providers → Add Provider.)
  2. Enter a Name (optional) such as Standard Compute, https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1 as the Base URL and your Standard Compute key as the API key. Leave Models (optional) empty, since the endpoint lists its models at /models, and click Add endpoint.
  3. Pick standardcompute as the Chat model and click Save. On a runtime of your own, set provider = "openai", base_url, model and api_key under [llm] in config.toml instead.

What changes in nanoMuse

Billing
nanoMuse requests draw on one monthly compute budget, with plans from $19 a month. There is no per-token bill. When the budget is used, requests stop until renewal or an upgrade, unless you turn on pay as you go.
Models
The model standardcompute picks a frontier or an efficient model for each request. An exact model ID from the Models page pins one model instead.
Good to know
nanoMuse is free, non-profit and GPL-3.0-or-later. A signed-in account gets a starting allowance on nanoMuse Cloud; once your own key is in use, nothing you say passes through nanoMuse Cloud.
