A Stockholm-based AI gateway and control plane: one OpenAI-, Anthropic- and Google-compatible API to 700+ models from 50+ providers, with fallbacks, spend and data-retention rules, and a CLI that launches Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes and Pi on its gateway.
Pricing: Pay-as-you-go credits at provider rates with no token markup. The fee is charged when you buy credits: 3% on Gateway, 5.5% on Control Plane, custom on Enterprise. LLM checks are billed per check on top. No minimum spend; free models work without a card. (Verified 2026-10-13.)
Opper is a strong European gateway for teams that want every model at provider rates with a 3% fee, zero retention by default and rules for spend and model access. It is metered, so it suits teams that manage their own models and budgets. Standard Compute is the alternative when you want the opposite trade: one fixed monthly price per developer key, routing chosen for you, and requests that stop at a published budget.
Standard Compute is an OpenAI-compatible API with frontier-model compute at a flat monthly price (from $19/mo): no per-token billing and no 5-hour or weekly windows. Requests run at full speed until the monthly compute budget is used, then stop until renewal or an upgrade. There are no overage charges.
Buying for a team: EU LLM API for coding agents · LLM API for agencies · AI coding agent cost per developer
Standard Compute is OpenAI-compatible, so any tool or SDK that lets you set a custom base URL migrates in minutes:
Base URL = https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1 API key = your Standard Compute key Model = standardcompute
Setup guides for OpenClaw, Hermes, OpenCode, Cursor, Cline, Aider and more are on the integrations page. Free tier to test it, no card required.
Per token, yes: Opper passes through provider rates and adds 3% (5.5% on Control Plane) when you buy credits. Standard Compute plans are a fixed monthly price with a slightly larger compute budget ($19 buys $20, $249 buys $269), and smart routing sends routine steps to efficient models. If your usage is uneven, metered is usually cheaper; if an agent runs every day, a fixed plan caps the month.
Both work. Opper's CLI launches Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes and Pi on its gateway. On Standard Compute, Claude Code uses ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://api.stdcmpt.com, Codex uses /v1/responses, OpenCode picks us up through models.dev, and everything else uses https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1.
No. All three Opper plans are pay-as-you-go credits; the plans differ by the fee on credit purchases and the governance features. Enterprise adds volume pricing, SSO, audit logging and custom hosting regions.
Opper is hosted in AWS Stockholm and stores only usage metadata on the Gateway plan. Standard Compute's Europe rule keeps inference at European provider endpoints with zero data retention requested, but requests pass through our gateway and OpenRouter, which can process them outside the EU.
