ClinePass vs Standard Compute

ClinePass is the cheapest plan here at $9.99 a month, while Standard Compute is the better fit when you need to know your allowance or run Claude Code and Codex: ClinePass meters rolling windows whose sizes are not published and serves only Chat Completions, and Standard Compute publishes its monthly budget, serves both agents natively and spends it on the most cost-efficient model per request.

ClinePass facts from its own pricing and docs pages. Standard Compute is our product.

Where they differ

  1. ClinePass promises 2 to 5 times the usage of standard API rates across rolling 5-hour, weekly and monthly windows, without publishing the window sizes. Each Standard Compute plan publishes its compute budget and shows it live in the dashboard.
  2. ClinePass serves the Chat Completions API only, so Claude Code (Messages API) and Codex (Responses API) are not covered. Standard Compute serves all three.
  3. ClinePass covers a set of open models such as GLM, Kimi, DeepSeek, MiniMax and Qwen. Standard Compute plans include frontier models too, with automatic routing between them.

When ClinePass is the better fit

ClinePass is the better pick if you work inside Cline, are happy with open models, and want the lowest monthly price.

Run your agents on a fixed monthly budget

Every plan includes the compute and every model, and the router spends the budget on the most cost-efficient model for each step. Pay-as-you-go top-ups are optional, never automatic.

FAQ

What are ClinePass's usage limits?

Cline says ClinePass gives 2 to 5 times the usage of standard API rates, measured over rolling 5-hour, weekly and monthly windows, but it does not publish the size of those windows. Standard Compute publishes each plan's monthly compute budget: $20 on Starter up to $269 on Pro.

Can I use ClinePass in Claude Code or Codex?

Cline's API serves Chat Completions only, so Claude Code (which needs the Messages API) and current Codex (which needs the Responses API) are not covered by its docs. Standard Compute serves both natively.

Can I use Standard Compute inside Cline?

Yes. Choose the OpenAI Compatible provider, set the base URL to https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1, paste your key and use the model standardcompute. See the Cline setup.

Is ClinePass cheaper than Standard Compute?

Yes at entry: $9.99 against $19. Standard Compute adds frontier models, native Claude Code and Codex endpoints, a published budget and team workspaces.

Which models does each include?

ClinePass covers a set of open models (GLM, Kimi, DeepSeek, MiniMax, MiMo and Qwen families). Standard Compute plans include about 40 models, including Claude, GPT and Gemini as well as the open ones.
