OpenCode Go vs Standard Compute
OpenCode Go is the cheaper way in at $10 a month for open models, while Standard Compute is the better fit when an agent needs frontier models, a team or one monthly budget: Go caps each model by the month, the week and five hours, and Standard Compute routes every request to the most cost-efficient model across the whole catalog with no windows.
Side by side
| OpenCode Go | Standard Compute | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Go $10/mo, Go Plus $40/mo, with a dollar limit per model; OpenCode Console (formerly Zen) is pay as you go | Flat monthly plan: $19, $39, $89 or $249 with $20 to $269 of compute included; Business from $499 |
| Who picks the model | You pick the model | Router picks per request (harder steps to stronger models, routine steps to efficient ones), or pin any model ID |
| Budget control | Per-model monthly limits with 5-hour and weekly caps; over the limit, requests block or use your Console balance if you opt in | Plan budget per key; new requests get HTTP 402 when it is used, no overage |
| Claude Code | Listed as a validated Go client | Native Messages API |
| Codex | Listed as a validated Go client | Native Responses API, any model in the catalog |
| Europe / US rules | Not clearly documented | Opt-in Europe or US rules on every plan, per key, team or company |
| Teams | Go: one member per workspace | Company and agency workspaces, a plan per key |
| Best for | Solo developers in OpenCode on open models | Coding agents and agent fleets that need one fixed monthly cost |
OpenCode Go facts from its own pricing and docs pages. Standard Compute is our product.
Where they differ
- Go gives each model a monthly dollar limit, then caps any five hours at 20% of it and any week at 50%. Standard Compute has one monthly budget and no 5-hour or weekly windows.
- Go covers open models such as Kimi, GLM, MiniMax and DeepSeek. Every Standard Compute plan also includes Claude, GPT and Gemini, and the router chooses between them per request.
- A Go workspace has one member. Standard Compute company and agency workspaces give each key its own plan.
When OpenCode Go is the better fit
OpenCode Go is the better pick for a solo developer in OpenCode who is happy on open models and wants the lowest price, especially with the $40 Go Plus allowances.
Switch from OpenCode Go in 2 minutes
Standard Compute speaks the same APIs, so switching is a base URL, a key and a model name. Your prompts, tools and streaming stay as they are.

Every plan includes the compute and every model, and the router spends the budget on the most cost-efficient model for each step. Pay-as-you-go top-ups are optional, never automatic.
FAQ
Is OpenCode Go cheaper than Standard Compute?
At entry, yes: Go is $10 a month and Standard Compute starts at $19 with $20 of compute. Go's allowance is spread across per-model limits and time windows, while Standard Compute's budget is one pool for every model with no 5-hour or weekly caps.
Can I use OpenCode Go with a team?
No. OpenCode limits Go to single-member workspaces. Standard Compute company and agency workspaces let an admin give each person or agent its own key and plan.
Does Standard Compute work in OpenCode?
Yes, as an OpenAI-compatible provider with base URL https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1 and model standardcompute. Our free OpenCode config generator writes the provider block for you.
What happened to OpenCode Zen?
OpenCode's docs now call its pay-as-you-go catalog OpenCode Console, and the old Zen docs redirect there. It is pay as you go with card fees passed through, and you pick each model yourself.
What happens when I hit the limit?
On Go, a model that reaches its 5-hour, weekly or monthly limit is blocked, or falls back to your Console balance if you opted in. On Standard Compute, new requests get HTTP 402 when the monthly budget is used, until it renews or you upgrade.
