What happened to Unify, TensorZero, OpenPipe, Glama, Martian and Roo Code Router?

Roo Code Router, OpenPipe's inference and Unify's router are gone, TensorZero is no longer maintained, and Glama's and Martian's gateways still answer while both companies have moved on to other products.

Status as of October 13, 2026, checked on each vendor's own site, docs or GitHub. Two acquisitions also changed the market this year: Palo Alto Networks bought Portkey (closed May 29, 2026; see our Portkey alternative), and Mintlify bought Helicone on March 3, 2026 and put it in maintenance mode (Mintlify blog).

What the vendors told their users

  • Roo Code: "we don't believe IDEs are the future of coding." It recommends Cline, "from where Roo Code originated", and the community fork ZooCode; billing questions go to billing@roocode.com.
  • OpenPipe: reward models, managed evaluations, criteria, pruning rules, data pipelines and DPO were retired rather than migrated. The open-source ART trainer is still supported.
  • TensorZero: its last release fixed a high-risk gateway vulnerability. If you still run it, pin 2026.6.0 and plan a move, since an unmaintained gateway won't get the next fix.
  • Glama: the hosted gateway continues "as a privacy-first gateway" for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Grok, Groq, DeepSeek, Alibaba, Moonshot and a few others. "For everything else, OpenRouter is a great alternative."
  • Unify and Martian: we found no shutdown notice, deadline or migration advice on their own pages.

Coming from Helicone? Standard Compute replaces the gateway half: one endpoint with a budget per key. It shows usage per key but is not an observability platform.

The catch

A gateway is a dependency you can lose. Since September 2025, Roo Code Router and OpenPipe stopped serving requests, Unify's API stopped resolving and Glama cut its provider list. Keep your agent's setup to one base URL and one key so a move is a one-line change, and keep a direct provider key for emergencies.

Where Standard Compute fits

Standard Compute is an actively developed gateway for coding agents: one key for Claude Code (Anthropic Messages API), Codex (Responses API) and any OpenAI-compatible agent, with a router that picks an efficient model per request. Plans run from $19 to $249 a month with a published compute budget, requests stop at the budget, and companies and agencies get a plan or limit per key plus Europe or US region rules.

FAQ

Is Roo Code Router still available?

No. It shut down on May 15, 2026. For the router part, any gateway that serves the OpenAI-compatible API works in Cline, the extension Roo Code recommends.

Is TensorZero still maintained?

No. The repository is archived and the last release was 2026.6.0 on June 4, 2026.

Has Glama shut down its AI gateway?

Not as of October 13, 2026. The hosted gateway still answers for a curated set of providers, but its product page now redirects to Glama's MCP pages.
